I had a pair of tennis shoes when I was a kid and on the tongue was a label; name and address, I decided to fill in the name but better to leave the address blank, as we moved around so much I never had an address that would last as long as the shoes. That was until we moved to Alaska; I lived there for 2o years.
I left Anchorage in 1981, went to a tiny art school in Ashland OR for a year and in 1982, moved to Providence, RI to study graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design. I graduated RISD in 1986, moved to Boston to work as a designer in television and transitioned to web design in 1994.
I took a class in encaustics in 2006, at the Boston Center for Adult Education, bought all the equipment, dabbled for 2 years and then got serious in 2008. What you see on this site is the product of that great love affair.
